A discerning or Professional photographer might be able to tell the difference but most people would be very satisfied with printed photos on the 9025e using the bottom tray. My wife is a photographer and she prefers to use an Envy Inspire 7955e to print photos for her clients. She and her clients appreciate the slightly better quality by using both a dye-based color and pigment-based black to get truer color and better contrast. The inspire at slower speeds than the 9025e but both will do an outstanding job with photo printing. Hope this helps.
