It just depends on what tasks you have running in the background that are CPU/GPU task heavy. The fan kicks to to keep the system cool, the same way a radiator fan in a vehicle works.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a windows background application that is scanning the systems resources to make sure everything is working properly. Not usually a problem with other laptops, but HP laptops ramp the GPU and cause the fan speeds to hit 100 for about 30 seconds. It's jarring. I forget the name of the process, but watch task manager/resource manager and once you see the process spiking the system resources isolate it and disable it in the windows scheduler. That's what I did and this laptops works fine now. Good luck!
