Incorrect, after getting this question answered I tested it out with the lid closed and the laptop docked, in a stand so the vents below are getting the most air. The laptop will get very warm in a short amount of time and then start to get very hot. If anyone reading this intends to use this laptop docked keep the lid open as the keyboard lets air out to have a healthy temp.
