• Do you mean USB? The USB does look different but still works the same. There is one on each side. The HDMI looks standard to me but I haven't tried it.

• Thank you for the question. You would not connect the external drive to the HDMI port. The drive should be connected to either the USB Type-A or Type-C ports, depending on the drive's connectors.
