Yes, you can charge this via the USB C port. I don't know the wattage (and have been trying to find it). It's certainly less than 45w.

I believe that this laptop can only be charged using the actual charger, and I believe it would be better using the actual charger. I have a USB-C to USB-C cable but I don't want to risk it. Your best bet is probably to ask google but it is better to be safe than sorry.
