Yes, this desktop can be used for Minecraft as well as your schoolwork. It will perform well for both.

The graphics card only has a VGA port but it seems to work fine. I am sure you know it has a 512 SSD This is what is said about Minecraft: "Minecraft is one of the most popular games of all time.
