My primary need is to print black/white at low print volumes. Can I just fill the black tank with ink, and skip filling color tanks without the printer generating low color ink errors for each page printed? null

Hello. Thanks for your question. You need some ink in all of the ink tanks to print anything with this HP Smart Tank 5101 printer. It helps protect the printheads. If you want a HP black and white printer with a scanner and copier, we recommend looking at the HP LaserJet Tank MFP 2604sdw Printer.
