Definitely not the printer for someone that isnt at least a little tech savvy. Hard to set up and all the functionality is run through a mobile app.

I'm a little confused about exactly what she's going to print. It can be used as a standalone copier or if she or you have a cell phone with Internet capability (even if it's not currently turned on), the printer has a function called Wireless Direct that sets up a printing only wireless network. You can use the free HP Smart app on the phone to connect and print things on the phone
