Try to replace the battery with a fresh/new one.

Are you using the correct connection style? It comes with a wireless dongle that is paired from the factory. The mouse is also Bluetooth capable but you need to pair it via the instructions. Alternately check if your current OS is compatible with the mouse. If I understand correctly, this is a PC only accessory and with later versions of windows only.
