“Is there a way to improve the mic quality of the headset?”

• It depends on what platform you're trying to use the mic on. If it's discord you have to tweak the mic settings and the sensitivity threshold for it to sound good. If it's something like Skype, probably have to tweak your computer settings for the mic. For any games you play, probably should check the audio settings in game. Hope it helped.
