It could be your controller or it could be a bug in the game itself. My husband has an old Xbox elite controller and that happens to him quite often. Also, the game we play (Tom Clancy's Division 1) has known issues with that happening in the game. If possible, try them with a different controller to see if it still happens. If it is only happening in one game you play then you should Google it for known issues that other players are having a problem with. If none of those are the problem then return the headset and get a new one under warranty. HyperX has a standard two year warranty on this headset so shouldn't be a problem. Good luck!
