“how does top snap on? which side goes toward hinge 2 clips or 3 clips? can't get it to fit tight”

2 clips go toward the hinge. I had trouble too and it seemed it didn't fit correctly because there was a gap, but days later, it clicked into place.now there is no gap and it doesn't move at all
