I had same problem with new monitor I bought Depending your monitor find buttons on bottom of monitor one should be for VGA,HDMI1,HDMI2,and display port I used HDMI1 and it works VGA port on my computer is on mother board which wont work on my monitor thats how it was explained to me hope this helps

There are two monitor connections on the top/rear of the case, but I believe these are part of the motherboard and not configured. There are also connections on the lower half of the rear of the cabinet which are connected to the graphics card. Once we connected (via HDMI) to the card it worked fine.
