“1.Why do they send you a cd when this desktop does not have a cd-dvd player in it? 2. What is the cd for and is it necessary? 3. Son has headphones w/mic but he only hears out of it, he can not talk into the mic. Do you need a special headphone set?”

PC need different headset as you see there are two ports . One with the little symbol of headset and one with symbol of a mic. Your headset need a wire with 2 connections 1 for the mic symbol port and one for the headset port
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can answer regarding the disks I received. One is Windows system recovery and one is graphics card driver. I bought a basic external usb dvd drive to load some photo editing software on disks, but yes it is unfortunate so few computers or laptops have dvd drives. Too old school I guess.
