“Some people mentioned you have to flash the bios to use the i79700k. How do you do that? Do you do it before windows stuff loads up or enter bios as soon as you turn on pc for first time? Thanks thinking of buying this today”

I received mine March 4th and everything was good to go. It boots straight up and there’s nothing to be done but download your games.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You don't have to... but, flashing it is easy. Find the bios specific to the board online... Load it to a USB. Put the USB in and reboot and it will go through the flash process. The board manufacturers site has excellent step by step instructions.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I doubt they would ship it if it couldn't boot to Windows at least. Mine came flashed with the latest BIOS version available. It had no trouble working with the i7 9700k.
