“will the docking station play an old iPod?”

• If that old iPod has a “Lightning” plug on the bottom rather than the older “Legacy” plug (the wide ones), then yes! I currently have my iPod Touch 5th Generation permanently plugged into it for music on my alarms and such.

• No it won't. Just the newer iPods with the smaller connection.
