“There are two different answers to the same question! Does this unit dock with an old wide flat plug type ipods or not?”

• While the plug built into the top of the unit is a Lightning plug and is not interchangable, there is an open USB socket on the back of the device. If you have a Legacy charging cable (the old, wide style), you can defintely use that. My iPod Touch 3rd Generation charges great using it!
