• When the speaker is compresed, the Bass is reduced so that you ear more the high and middle pitch audio while the Bass is reduced... Then when you let it uncompressed you will ear more of the bass then the high and middle pitch audio... I personaly always leave it to uncompresed so i can realy enjoy the high Bass quality on it!

• When compressed there is much less bass from the speaker. When open the speaker becomes louder with more bass

• When it's compressed the bass is off. It sounds about the same either way. Just one with bass and one without bass

• With the speaker compressed the bass is different. More bass and treble with expanded. Enjoy.

• Yes, when it is compressed, it does not give out a bass boost...LOL...whether it is compacted or not, you can hardly hear anything. I bought one and I am taking mine back! Not worth the money for me!

• For me when it's open out you hear more base sounds. Whe it's compressed the sound is more muffled.
