It goes as loud as your phone volume goes. So, if it is really loud, then yes, if not, then no.

Yes it is loud enough! But if you dont have a wire to connect your ipad directly on it you will have a time delay of 1/2 second from the facetime video stream so if you only use Bluetooth you will have a time delay that can be annoying at long uses... But you can always buy a small auxiliary cable for 2$!

I do believe it would be loud enough if it's close to it's highest volume setting, but I'm not really qualified to answer that due to the fact that neither me or the other person living with me is hard-of-hearing.
