“I have important tech in my car that cannot be disconnected from power . Do you guy have to ever disconnect the car battery in order to install a new radio I’m going from an old 2008 model with cd player to one of your touch screens?”

For my car, I did get a radio CD player that completely replaced my factory unit. The new unit also has Bluetooth and audio in-jack/AUX. Aldo I also installed a secondary head unit touchscreen. It’s capable of Apple CarPlay and android auto. It communicates with the new radio or if you wish, it can be set up to work with older radio systems. I do recommend the car be completely energized. Disconnected from the battery because it’s a safety issue. You do not want sparks occurring. Are you able to contact the manufacturer of the other equipment that you have that you’re concerned about Keeping powered up? You will have multiple other things that could cause the battery to become discharged and /or the car, not starting. So unless you have a secondary battery system, there’s no foolproof way to keep the car always energized when other environmental factors and physical things could happen.
