“Many times cases like these actually trap dirt, dust etc over time and the case ends up subsequently acting like sandpaper together and causing scratches that would otherwise never happened. Has anyone who’s owned this so far found this to be true? Thanks”

I haven't put mine through anything that would expose it to very much dirt or sand specifically. I've noticed some dog hairs get in there. There's definitely potential for dirt to get trapped if you've exposed it, but the case is extremely easy to remove and reinstall. If I exposed mine to anything like that, I'd be removing the case and cleaning everything more regularly. It can be done extremely quickly and easily.
