• Sure can. Internal light is very bright. I use the window to make sure my oatmeal doesn't overflow. :) Great Microwave for the price.

• Yes, you can see food cooking through the window. You can see the plate rotating the contents.

• You can definitely see the food through the front window. I'm not sure if you can see it well enough to monitor the cooking process, though.
