Are all chest freezers manual defrost? null

95% of current freezers are. I will wait until I have enough room in our normal freezer (usually right before going shopping) and then transfer the food into that, unplug the chest freezer, and let nature do the hard work for me. Takes about 24 hours total time from start to end.

To my knowledge yes, but not really a problem, we open ours once or twice a day, and not much frost build up. Don't leave it open very long, that's when it builds up frost.
