• the inside is a mix of plastic and metal. I did not like the overall design and it pours terribly, splashing because of the poor design of rim and twist on/off lid to carafe.

• You don't have to worry about that the water does not even gets hot enough I'm going back to my old one I wished I would have not bought it.
