      This was a dream coffee maker for the first month. I didn’t open it until my old coffee maker died so it was in the box about 6 months. It was great for about 4 months but it stoped brewing so, I watched a video, did a little troubleshooting and still nothing. I had to wait to call HB when I had a day off, they don’t do weekends. They told me I had too much reservoir, not sure how sunce it should all empty into my cup or pot right? Every time I use it it tells me over over filled the reservoir now. If it does this to you here’s what you do: unplug it and turn it upside down in your sink to empty it. Again, not sure why it doesn’t use all the water I put in it. Then it should work. By the time I got to the store to return it it was one year and I couldn’t. HB doesn’t let Bestbuy take their returns after one year like other companies do. I’m sure it’s a lovely coffee maker for some but if yours isn’t 100% exchange it sooner than later

      Great at FIRST...NOW???

      8/1/2018 This was the best coffee maker we'd ever owned...for 10 months!?! Today, it started leaking from the hot water passage, and dumped a 12 cup load all over the counter and the kitchen floor. We are not happy at all! Now, we've found that warranty service in the USA is for a year (Canada has a 5 year warranty?); but we must bear all expenses for getting it to/from HAMIILTON BEACH! Their product is defective, I've already paid for it, but they insist that I pay even more for their failure to manufacture a suitable product?? Of course, Best Buy offers no help because we bought it in September of '17. Buyer Beware on this one!!

      This coffee maker has a great set of features and is well designed. I have use Keurig coffee makers for several years but I felt the new Keurig models didn't offer the features and reliability that I wanted. This coffee maker brews much better coffee than my Keurigs ever did. You can choose a regular or a Bold brew strength. The Bold setting pulses the water through the coffee instead of using a continuous stream, giving the water more time in the coffee grounds. You can use your own coffee and brew up to a 14 oz. mug on the single serve side. Of course you have the carafe side when you want to make a pot of coffee. Overall, I'm very pleased with this coffee maker and I don't think you will find a better set of features for the money.

      The idea behind me getting this coffee maker hamilton beach over competitors is that I wanted to try having the ability, and freedom to brew hot water , ground coffee as well as kpods. Yet when brewing coffee this coffee maker would tend to over flow if you’re not paying attention. Also the kpod taste extremely watery compared to keurig counterparts. Needless to say I returned this model and purchased the k200 with the ground coffee pod. Giving me the ability to brew hot water for tea. Ground coffee, or kpods. With out giving up taste and without having to babysit the mechine.

      Purchased this product in August 2017 thinking I could combine my Keurig and my coffee pot into one unit. I've used a Keurig for years with no issues. Anyway, I've already replaced this unit once and the second unit stared doing the same thing on the third single brew (see photo). I cleaned the unit as recommended and the unit still does the same thing over and over. I never had to take apart my Keurig and clean it, I only had to run the cleaner or vinegar through it periodically. Do not purchase this unit if you plan to use it for single brew.

      Taste of plastic

      My Kerig finally quit and I thought this would be perfect to replace it and my small carafe coffee pot I use frequently. Even though it didn't have a reservoir, my wife brought up fact that we would have fresh water each cup we make!! Made first K-cup for her and as soon as I opened top to do another for me I smelled burnt plastic, at this same time she said she tasted plastic in her coffee. I put fresh water through several times and even used vinegar to clean and still plastic. Nothing on website or FAQ's for this problem. I'll be bring back today

      This is the best coffee maker ever! I've waited a while to get it for it to be on sale. And it meets my every need and did not let me down. It's the best of both worlds. I can do several cups of coffee using the carafe. I can make a single cup coffee using K-Cups or any such type or I can make single cups of coffee using my regular coffee in the reusable single cup coffee container. You can also schedule so that the coffee is ready for you when you wake up. I just love it so much! And I'm so glad that I waited to get this one that I really wanted.

      Coffee brews very slowly on the single serve side (approx 3 to 4 mins.) and the amount per cup is based on how much you put into the tank each cup. It seemed difficult to pour water into the single serve side without spilling water on the counter or the coffee maker. The coffee does not seem hot enough on the single serve side (I am used to Keurig). It was also loud compared to other single serve makers I have had. The carafe side performed as expected so no complaints there. The warmer is a nice feature (and the reason I considered this maker) but with that said, since most of the time I make single serve I returned the unit.
