If you have a DSL or cable provider internet you can buy multitude of different routers of different strengths but I would recommend getting a wireless n router you can possibly even get a cheaper router but I would definitely not get a contract to get a home wireless system especially with it being much more cost-efficient to buy your own router versus renting. The wireless spectrum that is the newest is AC but I would most likely recommended Wireless N standard. It's been out awile but will probably provide more than enough speed and future-proofing.
