• The charger works with my iPhone X, so I assume it will work with the XR as well. Just ensure the case allows it to be charged...

• I don't have a direct yes or no answer for you but...There are two types. Be sure to get the one for apple/iPhone products and not for "Q" products which are androids. My Samsung Galaxy DID NOT charge with a thin rubbery case and popsocket present.
