Do you need extra width clearance for door to open? null

the door wood have to protrude out of an opening to open fully if the hinge pine is centered

You will need additional clearance to be able to open the door if you are opening it up against a wall or tall cabinets. I was able to install right up against my washer/dryer without needing much clearance by pushing my washer/dryer a few inches back to accommodate the door opening (see picture).
