I don't know specifically if this cable can handle speeds over 1 Gbps, because I'm only working on a network that is peaked at the 1 Gbps speed. It is rated to handle up to 10Gbps provided your have the hardware to accommodate those speeds. If you have a 2 Gig fiber internet, but are still using 1 Gbps hardware to supply your devices within your network, then this cable will give you no additional speeds over 1 Gbps.

There's a lot of consumer devices out there that still only have 1 Gbps network controllers, or even worse 100 Mbps such as the Roku Ultra
