Q: QuestionWe have 2 4k tvs my brother was streaming 4k netflix on one tv and i game on ps4 pro 4k on my tv and his tv will buffer and mine kicks me off says wifi connection lost if i connect this cable instead of wifi to one tv will it solve the problem

• A:Answer Don’t know if it will necessarily “solve” the issue entirely but it certainly makes a difference having a direct connection to router instead of (unstable) WiFi. Especially as it pertains to gaming because you’re using the upload capabilities to stream not download (like watching Netflix). Do a network test and see what your upload speeds are, for streaming at 4K on the video servers I use the minimum is 20mbps I have ATT fiber 100mbps down/upload and stream beautifully in 4K @ 30fps or 1080p @ 60fps.

• A:Answer Dear Chipsgalore; Nope, not going to work. As an alternative, you could plug the ethernet cable from your Brother MFC-295CN into your wireless router. Now that would work. But trying to get it to plug in as a printer cable will not do it. Hope that helps. Consultant Brian

• A:Answer If the cable does NOT say it is good for outdoors I would not use it in that manner. When you make your purchase look for that in the description! I did NOT see that in the description of this product... but I do use this type when going under the house... although you should check your local water table. Have had no problems with this type under the house... YMMV?

Q: Questionrelocating my asus rtac87r router, is this a good replacement to original cable?original ethernet cable was about 4' long and it was a ftp cat5e data cable that came with the router and is currently connected to my modem. connected to the router are four wired data devices, printer, media server, and two PC's using a mix of cables that i had laying around. thought i would keep the cable type consistent. i need to replace all of the cables to either the 14' or 25' cables and run them to the devices. would you recommend these cables for this use and do they meet the spec of the data cable that came with the router? mainly the ftp and data cable standard (i know both are cat5e).

• A:Answer Your best bet is to run through a kodaks to wherever you running it to and make sure that you are put in the cord inside of a tooth you can not buy a weather proofing table by Best Buy or anything else you would have to buy commercial because there are certain conditions for running a ethernet cord outside without it being protective because you will lose signals and everything else and you would have to have a booster to run it

• A:Answer The Insignia person here just stated that this is 26 AWG. This is very concerning, as CAT 5e is supposed to be 24 AWG (smaller = bigger wires = less loss of signal). CAT 6 is supposed to have 23 AWG wires. How can this be called CAT 6 and have 26 AWG wires???
