Does this keep the ice frozen null

There is no freezer element. Melting ice recirculates to make more ice. I love mine. Be sure that you check it every so often, so ice doesn't stack up in the exit chute. That way, it fills the machines bucket and circulates melting ice better, and keeps recent full cube ice on top. I have a frig with an ice maker, but love this bullet ice and run it 24/7. Makes little noise as it stops when ice is full.
