Portable Icemaker, the electronic cleaning cycle works by circulating a cleaning solution you add yourself, even though the unit doesn’t use a filter or descaling powder by default. You simply fill the reservoir with water mixed with a mild cleaning agent (like vinegar), and the machine runs that solution through its internal water path to help remove mineral buildup. When you lift the basket out, you’ll see the raised “MAX fill line” marking molded into the inner wall of the reservoir.
