“When the door is open does it (the door) protrude past the side of the fridge? I want to install this unit under our counter and have the front of the units door flush with the cabinets.”

• Yes about 1/2 inch. The hinges are offset to minimize this but the unit door shouldn't be mounted flush with the cabinet or it will contact the cabinet when opened.
