Customers enjoy the 165-Can Built-In Beverage Cooler's excellent cooling capacity, convenient size, and quiet operation. Many appreciate its capacity for holding a large number of cans and bottles, as well as its attractive appearance. However, some customers have reported issues with the door seal and the sturdiness of the shelves. A few also mentioned receiving units with damage.

The fridge itself seems well made and is very quiet. I have it installed under my center island and can't hear it run unless I'm right next to it. Leveling the unit is fairly easy. The light button allows you to have the light come on when the door is open, not turn on at all or always stay on even when the door is closed. Depends on multiple presses to change function. The unit cooled to set temperature quickly and keeps the temperature exactly as set. If you have a standard depth island the unit leaves no room to install an outlet behind it. I had to install the outlet under a drawer and drill a 1.5" hole to get the cord through. The only thing that would make it better is a lock on the door to keep children from opening it. It is their height and they will mess with it just to see the light go on and hear it beep.

Initial thoughts were that this thing was a lot bigger and heavier than I imagined based on the picture. Even though I measured out the space ahead of time, it was still a surprise. The picture shows 5 or 6 beers across in the interior and the interior actually fits 7 beers across.
Pros: Really sturdy, looks beautiful, extremely quiet, adjustable shelving, digital temperature adjustment (34-50F in 1F increments).
Cons: Wish the was even more slots for shelving as it left quite a bit of room if I was storing wine bottles upright. Double stacking cans is precarious as the shelving racks do not provide a perfectly flat surface (had a couple occurrences of cans falling). Can't think of a solve for this aside from a piece of plastic/sheet metal with holes for air flow. Will try that with a Tupperware lid in the future.
All in all, very happy with the purchase. Been up and running for 3 weeks and will update review if I have any issues.

Works great for craft beer (40° is perfect when you have many beer styles) and to free up space in our refrigerator. Great built in and it's quite. Only reason I'm not giving a 5 is the shelves could be a little stronger. They warp a little when completely full sometimes causing a can to fall against the door.

Overall this is a nice beverage fridge. I’ve had no issues with temperature and the noise level is no different than other fridges I’ve owned. Quality is on par with price and didn’t kill my kitchen renovation budget.
I shipped to store then picked it up there, which I think avoids the potential damage to the fridge whereas others may have had it delivered to their door adding that extra touch point. Understand not everyone has a truck to go get it and should arrive with no damage regardless of method.
I somewhat agree the door will not stay closed if you close it forcefully but we aren’t door slammers in our house. Its not a major issue but say you are Messi and use your knee or foot to kick the door closed all the time instead of a gentle close it will bounce off and not close.

Looks great, fits perfectly under counter and keeps beverages cold. Like that has a setting that the light comes on when open door and a “chime” to alert. Colder than the previous beverage cooler we had and like that gets cold. Very quiet in fact never hear it running. Price great compared to other coolers and very happy so far after 2 months

I ended up buying two of these for my beverage bar. Love them! Slide into the built in area nicely. Lights up nicely. Keep beverages cool. Only “issue” is that the shelves could be stronger, if you load them up, they bow a bit in the middle

I specifically picked this up from a Best Buy store in order to avoid any shipping damage. What people need to pay attention to is to make sure that the refrigerator is upright for at least 2 hours before starting it up. It's critical for proper compressor operation. I let it sit for a few hours longer. This fridge replaced a 15 yr old SubZero fridge that was awful for storage options and died from compressor failure. This Insignia one is much more roomy and useful. I was planning on using this temporarily and replacing it with a fancy SubZero that has pull out shelves but I think I'll wait a while or even not bother as it's quite sufficient for our needs. It's used for beverages and overflow from the main fridge. It's quiet, too. I do have 2 complaints. One is that there is no option to secure the fridge to the surrounding cabinets to prevent movement but that was a problem w the prior fridge, too. The other is that one of the screws that holds the kickplate is unable to be loosened so far.

PROS: Fits like a glove. Looks great.
CONS: Door has to be fully closed by hand or it pops open (can’t just give a light swing shut and walk away). Glass looks foggy at an angle.
SUGGESTION TO MANUFACTURER: Could use more shelf adjusters and another shelf. It’s not a complaint. But shelf adjusters every inch would be nice so I could fit odd-height bottles.

This purchase was Replaced in the place of a dishwasher, fits right in its current place. Saving space in the refrigerator. Has light and alarm (light beeping) so you’ll know/hear if the door isn’t closed.
Good space for wine bottles and or cans.

Bought this for a second home. Compared to others fridges in this category this one was half the price of others I looked at. Reviews were good so was willing to give it a try. I wasn't willing to pay $800 or more for one this size. I bought this for a second home. Unit was sent to house and box was undamaged. After opening the unit had a large dent in one of the back corners, but appeared to work just fine. Must have been damaged at factory. Called best buy and they told me I could return or take a reduced price. I choose a reduced price because dent was hidden. I did buy extended warranty. Unit has been running just fine for a month with one exception the temperature gage on fridge is not right. I put a thermometer in fridge, actually 2 to check temp. Found temp of fridge to be 5 to 6 degrees warming then setting on fridge. I currently have it set for 34 degrees and actual temp in fridge is 40. Otherwise just love the fridge. Wish it had glass shelves, but the wire ones are fine. The fridge holds a lot of stuff. Very pleased.

Looks great in our new bar and pool table room. Lots of capacity and keep the drinks nice and cold. I like that there's a light that comes on when you open the door, but as others have said, I wish the magnetic adhesion was a little stronger

The Fridge itself has very nice options. The size is nice. I like that the light comes on when the door opens. The big issue is that the door is reversible and so it has screw holes on both the top and the bottom, but they don't provide caps for them and they are on top of the fridge and very noticeable. Open holes in stainless steele. It looks cheap and unfinished! I would not purchase this product again for this reason. I called customer service and they agreed, it looks terrible but they don't have a fix.

Received my beverage fridge today. What a great product. Very happy with the fit and performance. The door was easy to reverse, as we wanted it hinged on the left. When plugged it in, it made a louder noise for a few seconds then stopped.
For the price, I am very happy with this product.

The first one we bought was a dud. It wouldn’t get below 42 degrees and the side was always hot. I suspect it was stuck in the defrost mode.
Anyway, Best Buy made it right and exchanged it for a new one under warranty. The second one is working great so far. I keep a thermometer inside it and it maintains temps in the refrigeration range, which we need to store milk products for the coffee bar. It looks sleek built in under the counter. We also bought the Insignia two zone wine cooler at the same time, which we have had no issues with.
