The power cord is 5.4 ft. Refrigerator can be placed on the floor as long as there is adequate circulation. The user manual has more information (readily available online), but here are the parameters: If the cooler is not properly ventilated, the compressor will use more power. Make sure that you leave space on all sides: • Top: .2 in. (.5 cm) • Sides: .2 in. (.5 cm) • Back: .8 in. (2.0 cm)
