“just purchased a 18 cubic top mount Insignia fridge. It stared making unusual sounds outside of compressor running. Is this common with these fridges? If so what is the cause of the whale sound. The fridge is level and away from the wall. thanks Dave”

This seems to be a very common complaint. We just bought ours in June 2021. It makes this sad little moaning noise. Clearly, the manufacturer has not resolved this issue!
