“How is the clearance on the back of the sound bar once mounted on the wall? Do the power and optical cords have room between the unit and the wall?”

Yes. The factory brackets provide about an inch of clearance from the wall to the back of the sound bar. I neatly zip tied the excess wire for the power cord and audio input cable. It was a nice clean and easy installation. Well worth the money!
