Yes connect with digital optical cable (it does not come with one) so will have to but the cable. Then change your audio output to PCM in Samsung settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I imagine that the soundbar isn't compatible with Samsung given it wasn't compatible with my LG TV. I had trouble setting up the soundbar to a LG TV, trying the RCA connection first. Even with a digital optical cable connection, I still couldn't get the sound from the TV. I found a forum that suggested using the RCA cable and 3.5mm to RCA cable to connect the soundbar to some other device, like a cell phone, to test it out. I was able to get sound from my cell phone on the soundbar, so I figured it was the TV. When I tried a LG soundbar, sound came out right away. Given Samsung and LG are both Korean companies that work together and compete with each other, I wouldn't be surprised that pull the same tactic of forcing consumers to buy a family of products from them.
