Is the drive bootable ? And the file system compatible for the Xbox ? Those would be my first two attempts in resolving the issue
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I plugged my enclosure into a Toshiba laptop to transfer the contents of the laptop's hard drive to a WD 2TB HDD because the old drive was going bad. I can understand your confusion with the flashing blue LED when it first powers up. I was assuming that the LED doubles as a POWER indicator and a DATA ACTIVITY indicator. Also, I thought the new WD drive was pre formatted. If it was, it was not allowing me to transfer data to it. I had to do a quick format of the drive...which still didn't help. So, I did a full format, which took over night. I ended up calling WD to get assistance. I had no trouble after that. However, because the original drive was only a 700 MB drive and was partitioned as 360 MB for Windows 10 and the remainder for LINUX OS, it wouldn't let me do that. So, I have drive C: as my main boot drive, and a 1.3 TB drive E: Since everything was working, I really didn't pay any more attention to the drive LED.
