If the hard drive is actually encrypted it is an anti-tampering and anti-theft protection that activated either when the system became unstable or when the HDD is being removed. You may need to contact Sony for a decryptor in it may be easier to take it to a computer shop where they can assist you with decrypting
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You’ll have to take the hard drive to a computer shop. Likely when you removed the hard drive from the Vaio it had antitheft encryption software and automatically encrypted it they may be able to decrypt the device but I can’t make any guarantees
