If you have older computer with ATA drives, be aware that they have IDE interface and NOT a SATA interface. Not compatible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.These will only work with SATA drives. From the sound of it your computers were from another era, so they are likely PATA drives. Does the computer do anything at all? If not your power supply or motherboard could be bad. If you can go to the POST (power-on self test) which is embedded in the motherboard, you can see if it recognizes the drive. Check user's manual for how to get to the POST screen If the motherboard sees the drive you may have a bad drive. If the drive shows up but doesn't power up you probably have a bad drive.
