• The closed captioning would be available in the app you use, not the TV itself as the os tv is basically an app runner, not a standard tv. Although it you use it with an antenna, it does have cc .

• YES! I can't vouch for everything that is broadcast, but I have been able to turn CC on and off easily, whether there are subtitles or not.
