- Answer The closed captioning would be available in the app you use, not the TV itself as the os tv is basically an app runner, not a standard tv. Although it you use it with an antenna, it does have cc .

- Answer Comparing antennae will take some research. The set is not fussy. I am speaking to HDMI. That is an input to use with the output from a computer. Alexa or the remote navigation buttons take you to "inputs" where you choose BETWEEN Antenna and HDMI. Note that HDMI brings in video and audio from the (laptop) computer. It works like a charm.
