Hi, yes the dishwasher has internal water sensors that will shut the dishwasher off. It will provide you with an error code to use for the troubleshooting. It will also beep and the bottom light will flash. Hope this helps ( I also took a picture of the error codes provided in the manual for future reference...most people misplace the manual after installation)
