Sounds like you need a modem to plug the "cable" cable into, then you'll plug an Ethernet cable from the modem to the PC. A better and more secure way would be to put a wireless router between the modem and PC which will keep you protected from the Internet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely, it's a small inexpensive adapter and if I remember correctly best buy has them online.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not seen one since the days of a modem. Their might be a remote box, but this is not the cable. This would be for a VOIP phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No , this are two different type of cables and signal , you are maybe confuse , for a computer you need an Cat cable for the phone is a phone ,cable , construction and power is different .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you have a Ethernet modem in your computer (99% sure you do), then you can connect your pc to your internet. Just buy a cat 5e or cat 6 ethernet cable...connect one end into the router and one into your pc ethernet. If you are using a phone line for internet than you cannot get ethernet speeds. Phone lines can only handle up to 56K modem speeds. Ethernet can handle whatever you throw at it. Have someone close by verify that you have ethernet internet and not phone line dial up modem.
