“Where is the remote control sensor on this device? The manually gladly includes information that says carefully place your unit away from objects as to not block the back of the unit and the remote sensor, but fails to explain where that sensor is.”

Mine came in the box with the cooler, it’s pretty much the size of a regular TV, remote control, perhaps you didn’t get it in your box , you need to call the company
