• A:Answer Yes. After a while you will have to. Ive had mines for 3 months and its now that i have to drain the water out. It will make 8 beeping sounds to let you know to drain the water out completely for it to start again. I drained it one time in both sides and it kept turning off. I try draining a second time and it stayed on that time around. So yes. After a while you do have to. But it will tell you when it needs it.

• A:Answer I measured the size of the hose that came with my unit. The diameter of the hose is 5 inches on the inside and 6 inches on the outside. If you’re going to use the adapter that comes with it, I recommend making a template as it is rectangular in shape with rounded corners. I attached pictures of the adapter and window

Q: QuestionHow do you avoid wasps, flies, spiders, small birds, etc. from coming into the unit from the exterior exhaust vent? There is no swing damper, or anything to prevent little flying critters from coming in when the unit is off, and the condenser fan is off.

• A:Answer We have a screen on our window so that blocks anything from coming in. If you don't have a screen, go down to the hardware store and buy some screen material and make a small screen for the vent.
