I did some research before making my purchase and compared pricing too. The unit works great. I’ve had it for over a month with no issues. I’ve never used the cooling function on high and still get excellent results. It took some time to fit the hose in the window but I figured it out. The remote is the only thing I’m unsure of (probably need to peek at the manual). I use it but it seems that it takes time to change the temperature on the actual unit. Especially when I want it turned off (but still, I’m sure a sudden change in temp takes time). Doesn’t detract from the value though. Would purchase again. Maybe I’ll update this review in a few months.

Overall, I am happy with the purchase. The air conditioner is the only feature I have used so far, but will use the heater in the wood workshop this winter (and eventually the air conditioner too). I bought this for a temp in the house till we get the central air unit replaced. This was a far cheaper solution for this summer than getting the other replaced. We have it on the main floor of a 2 story house. It seems to do a pretty good job of cooling, but because of the floor plan, we have to also run fans to circulate the air from room to room. We also have a window unit we had to run a few times when the temps got in the mid 90's and above, but with both, it stayed pretty nice. Its a bit tricky draining the "holding tank" and wish there was a standard threaded fitting to hook a hose up to it. There is one up higher for the dehumidifier option, just wish there was that option for the air too. Not sure why the design isn't just one location for both? Otherwise, the filter is easy enough to keep clean that the function buttons are pretty straight forward. I will add that I DID NOT get a remote, even though it says in the title and description I should have. Also, the directions for venting were a bit vague and the pieces for the window did not go small enough so I ended up having to cut the piece with the precut vent pipe opening in it an the small clearance of plastic around that opening broke. I was able to make it work, but it was pretty frustrating. I wish there was more versatility for width of window openings. Once we get the main central air unit replaced in the house, we'll use this unit out in the wood workshop. I have no doubt it will do the job nicely in that area. I think the only reason it struggled a bit in the house is because of the layout I mentioned before. Overall, it is a good product and I would recommend it as a cost effective solution cooling a small home or main floor. It is less convenient than a window unit, but less expensive for the square footage of cooling. I can not make a review comment of the dehumidifier or heater because I have not yet used those features.

Easy hook up. not to loud. i have 1400 sg ft house was impressed how cool it keeped it . I recommend this product.

Even though the price is a lil steep. This unit is amazing. The dry mode works great. Takes the humidity out of my trailer and actual makes it nice and cool. I havent used the heater function yet but im sure that will work just as well as the cooling. I have purchased 2 cheaper units that were purchased elsewhere. Even though they were 12000 btu units or supposedly they couldnt keep up with this summers heat. This unit no problem.
