The Waykar 4500 BTU is a game changer. The wattage draw is manageable and it is effective. I installed this in my teardrop camper. With 2 - 240 Watt Solar panels, I can run this without tapping into my batteries during the day.

I bought this portable air conditioner. I used it in my van. The only time the compressor would stay on is in temperatures below 90°. Anything over 90° the compressor would overheat and shut off. The company that sold it to me told me to pour water into the air conditioner to cool the compressor. This is not a lie. I have the emails and them showing me to pull an air filter off and pour water into the hole. I would never ever buy this again. Luckily the one thing they did do correct was refund my money so I wouldn’t feel like I was so taken advantage of. If you need a real source of cold air I would not buy this product! Look at the pics and shake your head.

This a a really great little portable air conditioner. We use it with a small teardrop camper and it works well, is quiet and is very efficient. It is easy to carry in the car as well. Nicely thought out. Quality seems to be very good.
