I’m very happy with this portable air conditioner. I originally bought it for camping, and it did a great job keeping our tent comfortable during warm nights. It’s compact, easy to move around, and surprisingly powerful for its size. Last week, our home’s central AC stopped working right in the middle of a heat wave. This portable unit ended up being a lifesaver. We placed it in our living room, and it helped keep the area cool enough that we stayed comfortable while waiting for the main AC to be repaired. It cooled the space faster than I expected and wasn’t overly noisy. Setup was straightforward, the controls are easy to use, and the overall build quality feels solid. The Waykar 4500 BTU is a game changer. The wattage draw is manageable and it is effective. I installed this in my teardrop camper. With 2 - 240 Watt Solar panels, I can run this without tapping into my batteries during the day.

I bought this portable air conditioner. I used it in my van. The only time the compressor would stay on is in temperatures below 90°. Anything over 90° the compressor would overheat and shut off. The company that sold it to me told me to pour water into the air conditioner to cool the compressor. This is not a lie. I have the emails and them showing me to pull an air filter off and pour water into the hole. I would never ever buy this again. Luckily the one thing they did do correct was refund my money so I wouldn’t feel like I was so taken advantage of. If you need a real source of cold air I would not buy this product! Look at the pics and shake your head.

This a a really great little portable air conditioner. We use it with a small teardrop camper and it works well, is quiet and is very efficient. It is easy to carry in the car as well. Nicely thought out. Quality seems to be very good.

I’ve been using this the last couple months during the hot summer in California in my camper van, and I have to say it works really well. Sometimes I have the unit inside the van, so I have a separate modification for the window, but the unit provided the tubing necessary for everything, but my modified plexiglass. Other times I use the unit when it sits outside of the van when I’m in areas where I don’t think it’s going to be stolen, and the equipment appears to cool off the van much faster, probably because the tubing is not inside the van for the heat to exit.

It's small and light cools my room no complains and the extra hoses are great if you want to aim it at a certain area

It's an excellent portable air conditioner. The design is perfect for camping. It went in my tent and kept the temperature comfortable inside. It's not heavy, which makes it easy to move around. So it gets 5 stars from me. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Waykar - 6000 BTU (THG45A) is pretty powerful and can cool a room or car quickly. Airflow is pretty strong. I bought it for my SUV when I take road trips with my dogs during the summer. I can turn it on to keep them cool while I take a short stops (10-15 mins) for gas or convenience store pickups. This version in particular is very good for this and is also compatible with my power bank. It is bigger and heavier than I thought but it works well at 90+ degree temps. It does sound like a light vacuum cleaner but it's typical for any portable AC. I'm sure it would also be great if you went camping. Pretty satisfied with the purchase for my version of vehicle "pet mode" cooling feature.

Bought this as a backup in case the power went out and for camping. Perfect size. Its not just a fan, its actually an ac unit that pulls in are cools air. Very happy with it

I wanted to get a portable air conditioner for camping. Other brands offered a similar unit but with a rechargeable battery. Those units cost between $1000 and $2000. I will have electricity so I didn't need to recharge. This unit Kept us so cool our first night in Florida. We were almost too cold. I had to devert the airflow away from us. For under $300 it is a great bargain. Probably saved me a grand at least.

Unit worked perfect!! Kept our tent cool all night in Florida in the month of july!! Didn't use alot of gas out of the generator either. Definitely a good buy.

Love this A/C except the fan points in one direction instead of going out to the room. This makes it a bit more difficult (or easier) depending on where it’s placed

I use this AC unit combined with Anker - SOLIX S2000 to cooldown my semi truck when I'm parked. First of all, this unit can't cool down a cab of a semi truck. It can provide a little comfort, but it can not cool down and then maintain desired temperature. It eats my battery so fast that even ChatGpt is confused and can't understand what's going on. After few hours of " cooling" the cab, it drains from everywhere except the drain plug . It creates a mess in my truck. Total failure of a product packed in a pretty plastic shell. Doesn't have any ability to be connected to a smartphone via app. I would not recommend this to anyone.
